Pasha Lounge

(Dupont Circle)
2147 P Street
Washington, DC 20037
202-775-1883
"I checked out a spot called Pasha Lounge on 21st and P. Great happy hour. The crowd was decent especially for the location. It was free to get in with a free buffet which was amazing given the times we are living in where nothing is free. The drink specials were on point. Can't really beat half off for 4 hours. Well unless they give it away. lol. Anyway I had a great time there so i just wanted to give them some props." -Warren Banfield (03/15/09)

From 5-6pm Monday-Friday, Firefly in Dupont has its "Hour of Power". They serve $4 wines, $3 Sam Adams, and $4 rails. They also put out really good nuts on the table. -Julia (11/17/07)

Hudson Restaurant and Lounge

2030 M Street NW
Washington DC 20036
202-872-8700
Happy hour, 4:00-6:30pm Monday through Friday, is served both inside and on the patio. 16 oz. glasses of Heineken and Amstel Light for $5.00. The happy hour food is good, but the prices are not compelling. A visitor had this to say:
"Last week I stopped into Hudson for the first time. I really enjoyed the place. The drinks were definitely creative and fun. Tasty food too. Steamed mussels were excellent and the happy hour sliders were teriffic. I highly recommend." - Roy Pass (07/19/08)

Sign of the Whale

(Dupont Circle)
It was very busy the day I went to the bar, but tables were still available. The evening I went (Thursday, I think) was steak night, and I enjoyed a more than acceptable 10 ounce New York strip steak dinner for only $11.95. Happy hours are 4-7 M-Th and 4-9 Fri. $2.25 domestic draft beers, $3.25 micro imports and drafts (except, unfortunately, for Guinness, Harpers, and Bass).

Lima Restaurant and Lounge

(Downtown)
1401 K Street NW (adjacent to DC Coast)
Happy hour from 5:30 to 8:30PM, Monday-Friday. $5 call drinks, $4 import beers, $5 beef empanadas. "Lima Restaurant and Lounge has the best happy hour on K Street. They serve cheap drinks, AMAZING FOOD and even give away free drinks on Thursday. Hands down the best on K Street. " -Ramiro A. (4/11/07)

Matchbox

(Chinatown)
713 H Street NW
Cheaper pints of good beer - $2 off small pizzas and $4 martinis. The location is very central to all metro lines (great spot to meet up with friends) and the bar has a good atmosphere. The pizzas are very good! I also like the attention to details: the menus are long, skinny and wooden. For entertainment while you drink, sit at the bar and watch the bartender send drinks up to the second level by placing them in a wooden box tied to a rope and a pulley. -Visitor (5/24/06)

Chef Geoff's

(Downtown)
13 between E&F
Chef Geoff's has a great beer selection with a Super Mug option (34 ounces for $7.95), $5 burgers, $8 pizzas and $7 wings. You can literally get through an entire happy hour on one Super Mug (and they keep the mugs super frosty so the beer actually stays cold until the end). This is as close to bottomless beer as I have ever been. Happy Hour is all night Mondays and Tuesdays. -Visitor (5/24/06)
