Blue Ocean is a very traditional style Japanese restaurant, so anyone looking for Asian fusion, new age Japanese, or any of the other recent popular trends in Asian food should look elsewhere. However, for those whose tastes run in the traditional vein, Blue Ocean is one of the best Japanese restaurants in the Northern Virginia area.

This hard-to-find little Japanese restaurant is truly one of the best restaurants in DC. Prix-fixe "Omakase" from $60 per person. Enjoy it at the bar for the full experience.

Many find hibachi an exciting and tasty experience, and Shiro certainly delivers. They offer all the standard hibachi food options one would normally find in a Japanese steak house: steak, shrimp, chicken, and combinations. Shiro also provides higher-end options such as lobster, hibachi filet mignon, or a combination of the two as a kind of Japanese style surf-and-turf. Sushi bar too.
