  • The White House Tour

    The good news is that the tour is free, but the bad news is that you must request the tour from a member of Congress. Please see the White House website or call 24-hour Visitors Office Info Line at 202-456-7041 for details. Don't expect a human to answer your phone, though.

  • The Library of Congress

    The largest library in the world - offers public tours on Monday-Friday at 10:30, 11:30, 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30, and on Saturdays at 10:30, 11:30, 1:30 and 2:30. For details, please ask the information desk in the Visitors' Center of the Jefferson Building or visit the website.

  • Old Town Trolley Tour

    One of the best ways to see Washington DC in two hours and fifteen minutes. Washingtonian Magazine calls it the best tour in DC. You can board and get off at any of the 17 locations, which are (1) Union Station, (2) Japanese American Memorial to Patriotism, (3) Old Post Office, (4) China Town, (5) FBI Building/Ford's Theatre, (6) Freedom Plaza/National Aquarium, (7) White House, (8) Lafayette Park, (9) National Geographic Society, (10) Dupont Circle Neighborhood, (11) Kalorama/Adams Morgan, (12) National Cathedral, (13) Georgetown, (14) Lincoln Memorial Complex/Arlington Cemetery, (15) Smithsonian West/Holocaust Museum, (16) Air and Space Museum, (17) U.S. Capitol/Library of Congress.
    Tickets: $26.00 ($23.40 through their website)

  • Washington Walks

  • TOUR DC Walking Tours

    For Georgetown and Dupont Circle, Tour DC offers a series of interesting walking tours. Please sign up early to reserve your space.

  • Capitol River Cruises

    Hourly riverboat tours take off from Washington Harbour in Georgetown (31st and K Street). 50 minutes cruise with narration. $10 for adults and $5 for children from 3 to 12. Children under 3 are free. Call 800-405-5511 for more information.
